Twenty Three Places

Being uninvited to thee social event of last night and going in spite of my lack of invitation, turned out to be really fun. And yes, just as I predicted there was a decent amount of awkwardness,"who-told-you-about-this-stares", and "why aren't you at camp?"'s( More of those than I expected.) The thick air passed over, because..well, Me Krystle and Stephanie sat in the dining room and talked instead of venturing into the unstable, unpredictable living room, filled with names I knew and people I didn't.  Therefore, I stuck to the people I knew and chatted and got food at Los Cemales ( I also witnessed what seemed to be a Mexican mafia, kind of along the same lines as the mexi-mob movie I watched with Dan and Rebecca). The big events of the evening were: a lost earring and seeing an old friend. All in all, awkwardness aside, I'm glad that I went, but I just wish people lived CLOSER. Good thing Peter Piwovar paid for some gas!

Today promises no adventures, so I'm going out for breakfast with Ted.

Work tomorrow. Yessss- income(!).

Heey...so..its December! And you know what that means....practically free tanning at ultimate exposure!! Ha ha, kidding( well, about half-kidding).

So I was pondering the politics and etiquette of socializing, and I came to the odd conclusion that there is no etiquette of socializing anymore. Anybody can show up to any party, anytime, invited or not, as long as they know at least someone who is there(the new golden rule). Whatever happened to invitations, RSVP's ( raise your hand if you know what that means....yeah that's what I thought- about one of you.) and guest lists? So, I can go to the party that I heard about tonight and not feel bad about getting a secondhand invite. Will this absence of rules eliminate all awkwardness? No, no of course not. The air will be thick with tension as I waltz in, unexpected and unannounced, and its entirely possible that I will receive some"who-told-you-about-this?" glares. But, as most parties go, after 15 minutes of making the rounds and saying hellos, all weirdness should settle down into nice, even, impolite, socializing. There will be snacks, old friends, and even some slightly irritating music with laughter in the background. With or without guidelines laid out by Emily Post, I fully intend on having an uneventful, yet fun evening with an unfortunate, ungraceful, uninvited entrance.

I'll update on how everything turns out. Or not if I don't get up the guts to go. Ha ha I might just go ice skating with my favorite drunk driver. We shall see what this night has in store (Hopefully more than last night's sex and the city rentals- not that I'm complaining, I enjoy sex and the city, especially when it's free!). Call if you feel like improving my social etiquette/life.

Why am I am sooooo tired? This is pretty rediculous.

I spent my life savings on gifts for poeple today. I hope you all alove them cuz they are amazing. Get really excited. I love Christmas!!! I  also love how I'm not going out tonight even though there is a party and I'm sitting in my room like a big loser. Anne came in and shes like "make sure that you're quiet when you come in tonight cuz your brother has a freind sleeping over". As if I am acutally leaving the house this evening. Oh silly Anne. I'm excited to not do anything tomorrow either. I am such a lazy bum.  Thats okay, I normally work my butt off. Ok, going to put a movie in and sleep now.

smooches

Shalom-

I pretty much am in love with the suburbs.

Thanksgiving was, well, thanksgiving. My stepcousin had a child and he is SO cute! His name is Lorenzo and hes the greatest baby ever. He just sat and cooed and laughed all day. No cries. I hope my children are that awesome.

So then I got up late, as it usually goes these days, and went for breakfast at noon with Ted, then went shopping. My Lord thank you for the sales! It is rediculous. I've always been against shopping on the day after thanksgiving, but now I am such a fan of it. Rediculous. Fantastical.

I'm pumped to see everybody tonight!!! YAY!!! and to be KrAaAzzY with Krystle, cuz well, we are out of control.  Hmm, so I should probably shower and then go tanning and get ready and all that. Hasta pasta!

ps. Anyone who I haven't seen yet, friggin call me so we can hang out!!
